Signed in pencil with photographer’s “Photo Berenice Abbott, 1 W. 67th St., N.Y.C.” rubber stamp, inscribed, ‘Isamu Noguchi,’ in pencil, poss. by Noguchi, & a pencil notation, ‘c. 1929,’ in an unknown hand, on reverse of the photograph. Inscribed by Isamu Noguchi, ‘Dear Ted, Back from China & Japan 1930-1931, this shows me wrist broken by flying from a trapeze on New Years day 1932. The suclpture “Glad Day” made in Paris en route to Peking. How glad I am that you have this,’ and signed, ‘isamu Noguchi,’ in ink, on the mount, below the photograph.
