Description
Trimmed to an oval and tipped to a mount. In a 19th century frame. Inscribed ‘J.W. Black, Rembrandt Peale, 1850’s’ in red ink and ‘For Doctor John McDonough on the occassion of the exhibition of the collection at the New Orleans Museum of Art, April 18-June 8, 1973. With our gratitude, John Bullard’ in blue ink on the reverse of the frame.
